HISTORY:
May, 1993, the company purchased the assets of Medical Homecare Service, Inc. which had been in business for 15 years.
PRINCIPALS:
The company is owned and operated by Eileen and Maurie Lecker. Mrs. Lecker, the president is a nurse who graduated from Boston City Hospital School of Nursing and has many years of Med/Surg experience. The last five years she has been actively involved in home health care. In addition to the above credentials she is also a B.O.C. registered orthotic fitter for orthotics and prosthetics. Maurie Lecker is a Certified Public Accountant.
STAFF:
At present, the company, besides ourselves, employs two full time customer service representatives. Mrs. Jackson, one of the employees successfully completed a fitting course and is qualified to service clients in the areas of orthotics and prosthetics .
PRODUCTS AND SERVICES:
The company carries a complete line of medical equipment and supplies for sale and rental. Our Fitters are qualified to fit all splints, braces, collars as well a breast prosthesis and trusses. We are Jobst, Juzo, Sigvaris and Camp certified. In respiratory, we sell and rent oxygen, concentrators, nebulizers, suction machines and also transfill oxygen on the premises. A respiratory therapist is on call. We also carry Medela breast pumps and supplies for the nursing mother, as well as the EricAid system for the impotent male. A separate room is available to insure the patients privacy. Several times a year we offer in house education seminars which we advertise to the public.
POLICY:
The company sells and rents only superior brands such as Rubbermaid, Invacare, Camp, Universal, A.O.A., Omron, DeVilbiss, Meritt, Medela, Baxter, Hollister, Convatec, and many other medical/hospital grade products. Except for unusual or exceptional situations the company provides same day service.
TERRITORY:
The company owns and occupies a retail store at 4664 Lake Worth Road in Lake Worth and services Palm Beach County from Selray Beach to Jupiter and as far west as Wellington and Royal Palm Beach. Delivery is available free with a minimum order.
HOURS OF OPERATION:
Our customer service hours are Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to noon. Emergency service is available 24 hours per day.
MEDICARE AND INSURANCE:
Generally, we do not accept assignment on Medicare; however we will bill Medicare electronically to insure rapid reimbursement to out client. Medicare has informed us that claims filed electronically will be processed within fourteen to twenty days. We accept assignment on Workman's Compensation claims with prior approval. We also accept assignment on Medicaid for clients under twenty-one.
